The person, and the promise, behind ORO SAGE.
Oro is gold. Sage is a wise advisor. The promise in two words: the discipline of a wise advisor, applied to the markets with the patience of someone protecting capital, not chasing it.
Why this exists
ORO SAGE is built and operated by Himanshu Bhagat, an engineer and an MBA who has spent his career in digital business. He has built and run digital operations for Google, ICICI Lombard, Sony LIV, HDFC ERGO, InsuranceDekho and LocoNav, across search, product, growth and profit-and-loss ownership, at AVP, DVP and Director level. At ICICI Lombard he ran a sixty-crore annual marketing budget with a team of twelve.
He also trades Indian equities with his own money. ORO SAGE started there: not as a product to sell, but as a way to make his own trading systematic, honest and repeatable, so that decisions came from a defensible process rather than a mood. The first user was the builder, and the standard was simple. He had to be able to trust it with his own capital before it earned anyone else's.
That standard has been met in two stages, and they are not the same stage. Real money has been traded on the system's decisions since April 2026, with him placing every order by hand. Then, in August 2026, ORO SAGE began trading his capital live, placing its own orders. His money went in first, and it is in there now. No client money has ever been inside it.
That is why the whole system is built to show its work. Every decision is timestamped and recorded with the reason behind it. Every number carries its source and how fresh it is. Losses are shown next to wins. A dedicated part of the system does nothing but audit the rest and halt everything if a number looks wrong. The transparency is not a marketing choice bolted on afterwards. It is what the machine already is, described plainly.
The name
Oro is gold. Sage is judgment: the old kind, the sort that waits. Put together they describe the job rather than the pitch. Protect what is worth protecting, and only act when the evidence says act. A name is a small promise, and this one is meant to be checkable against the behaviour of the thing.
The mission
Just trying to do the right thing, on the record. Protect capital first, then grow it. Explain the complicated part in plain language. Never promise what cannot be promised. If the system is unsure, it says so, in writing, and waits.
Who watches it, and what happens when it misbehaves
One person is accountable for what this system does: Himanshu Bhagat. Not a rota, not a support queue, not "the team". If ORO SAGE does something it should not have, that is his name against it, and his capital in it.
Inside the machine there is a second watcher. One of the seven roles, the Gatekeeper, does nothing but audit the other six: it re-checks their numbers, flags anything stale or contradictory, and has the authority to stop the whole pipeline. A system that only ever grades itself on the way out is not audited, it is flattered.
When something goes wrong, this is the order it happens in.
- The system halts itself, before anyone notices. Six named circuit breakers sit under it, each with a numeric trigger rather than a judgment call. A rejected order is retried a few times, with widening gaps between attempts, and if it still will not go through, that name is paused for twenty-four hours. After an interruption the system restarts paused and refuses to trade at all until its own record of what it holds matches the broker's, position by position. There is also a manual stop: one command, and everything is halted in sixty seconds or less.
- A human reviews before anything restarts. Halts are not on a timer and nothing resumes by itself. The reason for the halt has to be found, understood and written down, and the fix has to be a fix rather than a hope. A breaker that trips twice for the same reason is a design fault, not bad luck.
- A halted system stays halted until a person clears it. This is the commitment, and it is the one worth holding us to. Not "until the market calms down", not "until the next scheduled run", not "until a timeout expires". Until a human has looked at it and said, in writing, that it can start again.
Two honest notes on that. First, there is no promised response time, because inventing one would be a number we could not keep at three in the morning. What holds instead is the fail-safe: while nobody has cleared the halt, nothing trades. Second, a halt is not the same as being exposed. Stops and targets are placed at the broker, so they stay live at the exchange even when ORO SAGE is standing still, or down entirely.
The honest state of things. ORO SAGE is applying for registration under the applicable SEBI framework. In our own words: "actively applying for the license; a specialist consultant is engaged." Paid services open only once registration and, for Autopilot, broker algo-empanelment are in place. Until then this site collects expressions of interest, and nothing on it is investment advice or a recommendation. When registration is granted, the registration number and the applicable disclosures will be published here and shown across the site. We will not display a number we do not hold.
